Happy World Book Day!

Happy World Book Day!

There is something special about books.

They have the power to teach, comfort, inspire, challenge, and transport us into worlds far beyond our own. A single book can change the way we think, help us through a difficult season, or introduce us to an idea that stays with us for years. That is exactly why World Book Day is worth celebrating.

Each year on April 23rd, readers, writers, publishers, and book lovers around the globe celebrate World Book Day and World Book and Copyright Day. Established by UNESCO in 1995, the day was created to promote reading, encourage publishing, and recognize the importance of protecting authors' work through copyright. The date also honors literary legends such as William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes.

At Willa's Book Talks, we believe books still matter deeply in today's fast-moving world. Stories connect us. Knowledge helps us grow. Great conversations about books can open doors to new ideas and new perspectives.

That is why we are so excited to share this special World Book Day episode with you.

While our official launch is still ahead of us on August 6, we wanted to pause and celebrate the joy of reading with our growing community of listeners and book lovers. This episode is a small preview of what is to come: thoughtful conversations, love for literature, and a place where stories are celebrated.

Whether you are an avid reader, an aspiring writer, or someone looking for your next great book, we hope Willa's Book Talks becomes a space you enjoy returning to again and again.

Unfortunately we’ve had problems with the distribution to audio platforms so right now it is only available on YouTube. We will update this as soon as the problem has been resolved.
