We’re Back

Hello friends!
First things first… yes, I know. I heard you. “Willa, where were you last week?”
Well… Even very organized bookstores sometimes have what I like to call a bookstore hiccup. Between shipments, packing orders, and supervising Cecilia (it is a full time job), the week ran away from us. But we are back and I have plenty to report from my very important post near the shelves.
And last week, right in the middle of all that adventure, we welcomed a brand new children’s book into the store:

Wandering Wixie and How His Candle Came to Be by A.D. Stone.
This one is adorable. A cozy, comforting story with beautiful illustrations and a sweet message. I inspected it personally. I sat on the shipping box first, then I approved it for the shelf. Very official procedure.
Now about this week…
Our planned release may be a day or two late. But before you panic, let me tell you why. We are expecting four books from the same author to arrive any day now. Four! That means our shelves will be very well stocked for the coming weeks, and you will want to keep a close eye on announcements because several new arrivals are about to wiggle their way into the bookstore.
So really, a tiny delay now means more fun very soon.
Also… Free Shipping Sunday was yesterday. I am so sorry if you missed it. The next one will be March 28th, and yes, I have already circled it on the calendar. I take this responsibility seriously.
One more bit of news.
Even though most of our readers live far beyond East Texas, we are actually leaving headquarters and going on the road this spring. If you happen to be nearby, we would love to see you in person.
We will visit The Bagel Lady in Rockwall on March 14th, and our owner company, Wichmann & Co, is sponsoring the Terrell Chamber Morning Mingle on March 25th. We will be bringing books from our inventory along with us.
So if you are local, please come say hello. Meeting readers in real life is one of my favorite things. I promise I will be there in spirit, probably supervising from inside a tote bag.
Thank you, as always, for supporting a small bookstore and the authors who trust us with their stories. Every order truly matters here.
Until next week, keep reading and keep turning pages.
Wiggles and bookmarks,
Willa 🐛
P.S. Every book in Willa’s Bookstore is signed by the author. Always.
